So I finally finished my model of Air, sure took a while! But now she's done and ready to be placed in any game!! XD
I'm quite pleased with the end result here~ and what makes me even more happy is that the art director from Massive (Ubisoft) visited our uni and he praised my model! *u*

looks great, well done! do you do all your own textures? i work in 3d too (Blender) but when it comes to textures i get stuck :S

All the textures have been made by me yes :D the diffuse is handpainted, the normal map has been baked from a high-poly

It's actually pretty well optimized- I guess a fair portion of those polygons are in the face. It really doesn't seem to be 12k.

That said, congratulations on the feedback you got. I'm surprised I haven't seen any of your work before- you've got my watch.
